Los Angeles-based hip-hop producer Madlib has been dipping his toes into psych-rock territory for a minute now. This December he’s going to release an entire rock-based LP called Rock Konducta Vol. 1 (the title in reference to his Beat Konducta series). It’s wonked out, 60’s-style freak rock with some unusual hip-hop style adlibs. It’s an exciting promise of things to come from the ever-evolving producer.
