Mark Richt on the Practice Field for Georgia's Second Spring Practice on March 22, 2011

ATHENS, Ga — The Georgia Bulldog football team returned to the field Tuesday afternoon for the second spring practice of the 2011 year.

The Bulldogs began practice on March 10, but following Spring Break, Georgia returned to the practice field for the first time in 12 days.

ATHENS, Ga — The annual Georgia NFL Pro Day took place in Athens, Georgia on Tuesday headlined by potential first round picks A.J. Green and Justin Houston.

Former Bulldog great David Pollack alongside Cassidy Hubbarth provided analysis on ESPN3.com throughout the day’s activities.

Scouts from 30 of the 32 NFL teams were represented, San Diego and Minnesota were the only two that were not in attendance. Carolina Panthers GM Marty Hurney was the highest ranking team official in attendance.

Fourteen former Georgia Bulldogs practiced in front of NFL scouts headlined by Justin Houston and A.J. Green.

A.J. Green did not participate in drills such as the 40-yard dash, bench press, shuttle, broad jump, and vertical jump, but did participate in positional drills.

In an interesting twist, NFL scouts were not allowed to be on the sidelines during Green’s wide receiver drills. The reason, the quarterback that was scheduled to throw to him. (more…)
