Georgia 91, Florida 104: FINAL
Florida wins the top and gets out to a two-point lead. After a Georgia turnover, Florida extends its lead to four. After another turnover, a three by Chandler Parsons makes it a seven point game with three minutes left. Parsons drives the lane after another turnover and Florida has a nine point lead.

Leslie with a three-point play and it is a six point game with two minutes left. Parsons scores his seventh straight point and the Gators have an eight point lead. Georgia calls a timeout with 1:39 left. After another Georgia turnover they are forced to foul Florida. Parsons make one, and Florida gets the rebound and Georgia is forced to foul again. Three by Brantley makes it an eight point game with one 54.5 seconds left, Georgia fouls the Gators.

Walker makes both free throws and the Gators are up 10. Georgia can’t answer and the Gators are to the line again with a 10-point lead with 42.2 seconds left. This game is over. Tough loss for Georgia and they’ll have to get re-focused for their next game which won’t be any easier. They have to go to Lexington to face the Kentucky Wildcats. Georgia 85, Florida 85: End of First Overtime
What a game this is. Florida wins the tip but comes up empty. Jermey Price with a slam and then a three by Florida makes it 76-75 Gators. Three for Georgia rims in and out, Leslie with the block on the other end and answers with a put back and the Dawgs lead 77-76. Timeout Georgia. The whole place is standing, I have never seen Stegeman like this before.

Macklin with the putback, Gators lead by one. Another three by Ware rims in and out. Great drive by Robinson gives Georgia a one-point lead. Florida answers right back. What a game. Great move by Price gives Georgia a one-point edge at 81-80. Florida timeout with 1:05 left. Dustin Ware fouls out and Florida is at the line with 49.9 seconds left. Florida holds a one-point edge after making both free throws. Sherrard Brantley to the line shooting 1-and-1. Makes the first one to tie it, and makes the second to give the Dawgs the edge.

Florida comes up empty and they are forced to foul Georgia. Thompkins to the line shooting 1-and-1 with 23.1 seconds left. Thompkins misses the first, Florida calls a timeout, and they are down 83-82 with 20.4 seconds left. Florida turns it over and fouls Georgia. Jeremy Price to the line with 6.7 seconds left. What did I say at halftime, you HAVE to make these free-throws. Sinks the first one, Florida without a timeout. Makes the second one, Florida with the three with one-second left to tie it up. Georgia timeout. Off to the second overtime, and at least five more minutes to this thriller.

Georgia 73, Florida 73: End of Regulation
Two Free throws by Dustin Ware make it a four-point game. One minute remaining. Down four, the Dawgs are running out of time. Florida up four, and at the free-throw line with 35.8 seconds left shooting 1-and-1. Missed the first one and Georgia calls a timeout, 28.0 seconds left. Huge three by Robinson makes it a one point game with 21.3 seconds left, Florida at the line after a Georgia foul shooting 1-and-1. Makes the first one and Georgia is without a timeout. Second one is no good, Dawgs only need two. Put back by Thompkins as time expires puts this game into overtime. Five minutes left in this thriller. (more…)
