Were about 30 minutes from tip off here at Stegeman Coliseum in today’s match up between the Georgia Bulldogs and #10 Kentucky Wildcats. The crowd is anxious for the start of this game for both sides. There seems to be as much red and black in the arena today as their is blue and white. I saw lot of Kentucky licenses plates when I walked in Stegeman about an hour ago, which is evident by the upper half of the building that is completely occupied by a sea of blue and white. Both teams are in shootaround right now. Connor Nolte and Matt Bucklin are easily making one three pointer after another. On the other side of the court Kentucky’s star forward Terrence Jones can’t seem to make any shot right now. It seems that Tom Fell (aka Rocky Balboa) and the rest of his crew are already making it a frustrating envirorment for the Wildcats before tip-off.
Here are today’s staring lineups,
G Gerald Robinson Jr.
G Dustin Ware
F Travis Leslie
F Trey Thompkins
F Jeremy Price
G Darius Miller
G Brandon Knight
G DeAndre Liggins
F Terrence Jones
F John Harrellson
Good afternoon. I’m Matt Ryan and will be bringing you live play by play updates for today’s game at Stegeman Coliseum between the Georgia Bulldogs and the #10 Kentucky Wildcats. The Bulldogs enter conference play with an 8 game winning streak and could be a ranked team on Monday with a victory this afternoon over the Wildcats. Last March in Athens, the Wildcats beat the Bulldogs 80-68. Mark Fox and his team will look to make this year’s result a more favorable one for them. Must people would consider a team that has lost 5 NBA first round picks from the previous season as a one that is short on talent. However, Kentucky head coach John Calipari has once again shown why he is the best recruiter in the country. The Wildcat’s freshman trio of Brandon Knight, Doron Lamb, and Terrence Jones have combined to average over 49 point per game this year and help keep Kentucky in the top ten. There’s a lot of hype going into this game today around Athens-Clarke County. Many fans are tailgating before this anticipated match up and the line is forming right now to get into Stegeman Coliseum.
