Silver Age is Bob Mould’s first album since his 2009 album Life and Times, and it is his first album released on Merge Records. He has had many acts over the years such as his 1980’s noise pop act Hüsker Dü later followed by his 90’s project Sugar. His talent as a musician has progressed over the years, drawing on old sounds to inspire and create the new. His fuzzed out single The Descent is an energetic song intertwined with relentless guitars. If you were a fan of Sugar then Mould’s latest album will be right up your alley.
