Local Music at WUOG
Live in the Lobby
So you want to be in a rock and roll band and play on Live in the Lobby? Or do you just want to get your music into local rotation up at the station?
Requirements:
- Your band must currently be primarily located in the state of Georgia to be eligible for Live in the Lobby.
- Bands of all genres and styles are considered.
- You must accept that we are unable to pay you for your performance. Live in the Lobby is intended as a showcase of local music and allows local area bands to gain exposure; WUOG Studios is not a venue in the typical sense.
Procedure:
- If you meet the above qualifications, you may send your band's album/demo/etc. to
Local Music Director, WUOG 90.5fm

Athens, GA 30602 - In the event that you have absolutely no recorded material to send, contact lmd@wuog.org.
- Attach a note to your album explaining that you would like to be considered for Live in the Lobby.
- Be sure to include your name, phone number, and email address.
- If we like your stuff and think it's a good fit with our station, we will contact you.
Once you're accepted...
- You will be contacted to set up a date for your performance.
- On the agreed-upon date, you will need to arrive at the station at 6:45pm. (WUOG is located on the fifth floor of Memorial Hall on UGA campus. Contact lmd@wuog.org if you need directions or parking information.)
- All performances begin at 8pm on Tuesday or Thursday and are thirty minutes in duration
- Your performance cannot include the use of speech that violates FCC regulations. This stipulation includes harsh cursing and some sexual comments.
- You may not drink alcohol or use illegal drugs while on the premesis of WUOG Studios.
- Set-up is largely up to the band. Contact lmd@wuog.org or ops@wuog.org if you require use of any unusual equipment.
- A studio audience is more than welcome.
- Once your performance is complete, you will receive a copy of the recording.
