JeWop – Stab Operate

Posted by: wuog
Mar 10 2010 3:35 am

Adam Safer and Steve Caglianone are the hardcore duo JeWop. Their music combines bass, drums, and vocals. Originally a native of Savannah, Georgia is bassist/vocalist Adam Safer. His style is complex and impressive, as he is capable of a variety of techniques. At times, his distorted bass actually sounds like both guitar and bass at once. Safer, a former student of bassist Beaver Felton, cites a diverse group of influences – ranging from Slayer to Jaco Pastorius. This is evident in his speedy, riffing solos. Safer’s vocal style is somewhat reminiscent of Henry Rollins and his nonsensical, if not sometimes disturbing, lyrics are delivered with an enormously candid intensity. The drumming of Steve Caglianone is equally powerful and complex. He cites John Bonham and Steve Perkins as major influences on his playing style. Originally from New York City, Caglianone studied with Bobby Rondinelli (from Warlock, Rainbow, and Black Sabbath). Caglianone has also successfully gigged in the NYC area for several years with various bands (ie. Roadside Prophet and SuperGenius). The result of the Safer/Caglianone combination is a sound that is uniquely full – an unexpected sound for a two-man band. The music of JeWop is in-your-face and over-the-top.

This band jams from funk, rock & roll, R&B, world music, acid jazz and blues influences to bring to audiences everywhere powerful expressions of original, creative 21st Century music. JazzChronic composes original music with all members of this musical project contributing. The name JazzChronic comes from the band’s love, respect and passion for jazz, funk, R&B, rock n’ roll and world music.

The future is bright for JazzChronic! Our line up is solid with Justin Willis (guitar, vocals), Bill Baker (bass), Leon Campbell (drums), GnarlyG (tenor, baritone and soprano saxes, vocals) and Howard Stroud (keyboard). The music we perform has taken a turn toward harder funk, reminiscent of the horn led bands of the late 70’s. JazzChronic plays a mix of funk, rock and roll, R&B, jazz and soul. Recently, the band has started to incorporate vocals into the mix. JazzChronic’s music is composed with all of the members contributing. We really enjoy performing at festivals, clubs, parties and special events

Applespacebar is a new band from Atlanta Ga. in the United States, featuring guitarist/composer Ben Trexel and vocalist/lyricist Johnny Nine. Both accomplished solo artists in their own right, Trexel and Nine are very excited to combine their talents for this unique project to reach even larger audiences with their accessible yet original sound. Lake Trechsel joined on as drummer and has made a great impact on the band’s sound.
Applespacebar’s music can best be described as alternative modern rock with both melodic and hard edges. We feel that the songs will connect with the listener on many levels and invite repeated listenings. We are hoping for the opportunity to make that connection. A full length debut album, WELCOME TO THE DREAM was released on January 6, 2009 on the Tangent Music Group label.
Please feel free to add our music to your playlists and contact us with any questions you may have about using our music in film or television projects, our recording methods, or anything else you might be interested in. We can be contacted at applespacebar@gmail.com.
Why this name?
When recording on a Macintosh computer using Pro-Tools, the key command to start recording is pressing the Apple key followed by the Spacebar key. It dawned on me that this would be a cool name for the band.
Your influences?
Our influences are varied but definitely include Stone Temple Pilots, Coldplay, Fleetwood Mac, Pink Floyd, Tool, Foo Fighters, Three Days Grace, Led Zeppelin, Collective Soul

T-Moses – (track 1)

Posted by: wuog
Mar 10 2010 2:47 am

Terrance Moses is flooding the mix tape circuits from Coast-to Coast while laying it down on the East Coast. Heavy on the grind the artist is compiling his much anticipated self titled album Terrance Moses scheduled for a first quarter release in 2010. With the hood street classic “Can I Come Over” headlining the way Moses has been dropping the real for over seven years in the game. Born in Rivera Beach, FL the twenty-five year old rapper hails from an area known as “The Raw”. Street life charged the inspiration of a lyrical release that began at the early age of twelve. Terrance spent his teenage years marinating in harsh day to day realities that christened him the now infamous name of T-Moses.

With his start among local neighborhood rappers and hustlers Moses was fueled by the continuous grind of his home town and inspired by hip hop legends Tupac Shakur, Notorious B.I.G., Outkast, 8 Ball and MJG, Goodie Mob, Scarface, and Nas. Determined to make his way out of the hood and change the path for himself and those closest to him, Moses began collaborating with producers Sheist of Triple C’s, DJ Skeeta and DJ Chap formerly Flesh & Blood, and J-Mo. In 2003 he released his first solo project Lucky Luciano. The debut album spoke volumes of the rappers real life experiences and never ending struggle to escape the cycle of a rugged existence. Nearly a year later the ambitious young man launched Good Fellaz Records Entertainment and by twenty-two the president and CEO dropped his third album, a collaboration titled 56 Ace Federation.

In 2007 T-Moses headed north and landed in Atlanta, GA where he now resides and has paired up with Trunk Beata Ent. etching his name in stone as a future heavy weight. The Florida rapper’s latest mixtape Floodin’ The Streets is in heavy rotation among the club scenes as well as the internet super highway. Working with prominent artists Freeway, Triple J, Ace, Uncle Head of Splack Pack and Paper Johnson, the rapper’s lyrics are a true account of his tenacious yet humble personality. Although on his I-Pod you can find music of all genres from Jay-Z to Michael Jackson, once T-Moses sets foot behind the mic his southern swagger shines through on each trunk beating track.
