Turf War

Turf War is an Atlanta band that has been making quite a buzz in the scene lately, opening for acts such as Black Lips, Free Energy, and Titus Andronicus. They’re sound is reminiscent of a southern version of the late Exploding Hearts: fun, lo-fi power pop. I saw them at the aforementioned Free Energy and Titus show and they really tore it up. The crowd seemed wary at first, but became much more enthusiastic as the show went on. They also made fans of the other bands as the guitarist of Free Energy wore a Turf War shirt for most of the night. Luckily for us, they posted their 4-song EP for free on their Tumblr!

JK & The Lost Boys is an Atlanta, GA-based band founded in 2009. With humble beginnings in Conyers, lead singer-songwriter, Justin Keller (JK – center above), and drummer, Casey Courter (left), formed the band for a high school charity show. After gaining popularity through numerous shows, they began recording their first EP ,Street Lights & Avenues, which was released on March 18, and celebrated with an album release show at The Five Spot in LittleFive Points. Studio producer, Jaz Dixon (right), went on to join the band, all of

Kiddie Khem – Words Like Smarties

Im a Organic Chemist trying to knock my way through PhD. I began writing music during a summer I spent away from home That summer I felt incredibly isolated and out of contact with everyone in my life. I used my lyrics as a way to speak to the world and tell them the words that had been jailed in my mind for so long. Luckily I made it out alive and still cant stop writing music. My music has a very synthy electronic feel that is normally termed Dream Pop or Synth Pop. Hope you like it!
Get it? Kiddie Khemistry?

What do call something that is rare, That is so hard to find and Worth
so much in value? Something that is special, profound, and unique
compared to the normal everyday things. Some would call it an antique
or a rare artifact. Others would call a Collector’s Edition.
Collector’s Edition is a musical group that fits that mold of rarity
from Atlanta GA. Their style of music blend of “Old School” meets “New
School” as one would call it. They have a fusion of Jazz, R & B,
Hip/Hop, Rock, Pop, and Funk all wrapped into one that gives them a
unique style that sets them apart from the rest. Collector’s Edition
consists of members V.G., rapper/vocalist, and D. Allen,
keyboardist/vocalist. Together, this duo gives an exciting, diverse
blend of music that will have listeners, young and old, grooving to
their tunes. R U Ready for the experience? Collectors Edition is a
combination of Old Skool Hip Hop, Jazz and R&B. Originally calling
this particular blend, “basement music”. This band has spent the last
year pushing themselves to the limit creating a sound that can’t be
described. ——- V.G. Rapper, singer, song writer & drummer- first
heard on solo on Can’t lay pipe in 2000, next on Georgia Peach with
Them Concrete Boys, and his latest collaboration was with a group call

A small band from Free Home, Georgia. A mixture of all sorts of sounds ranging from ShoeGaze to our young youth style of Grunge. A simplistic band just jellying a way through life. Nothing fancy just us.
