San Francisco-raised, Atlanta based producer Zaytoven’s bouncy, fast-paced and hard hitting beats have come to define the most recent era of trap music that has risen out of Atlanta and spread across cities around the country. He’s been affiliated with Gucci Mane and Bricksquad since 2005 but he has done notable work with Future, Chief Keef, Young Jeezy and Gorilla Zoe among plenty of other big names in the hip-hop landscape. Most recently his beats were all over Atlanta upstarts Migos’ excellent and definitive new mixtape Young Rich Niggas. Well now we have “Sorry” a new posse cut credited to Zaytoven himself featuring verses from Migos, Youtube superstar Riff Raff, up & comer Rich the Kid and reliable Bricksquad member OJ da Juiceman. It’s catchy as hell, full of clever wordplay and dedicated to the unending pursuit of getting cash. It’s just another fine example of the type of track that has come to define hot summers in Atlanta.
