AlunaGeorge has been putting out home-run single after home-run single for the past year and today we have “Attracting Flies” a pop-banger that’s sure to keep people talking. Featuring another monster dance-beat from George Reid and Aluna Francis’ signature cute-brit vocals, “Attracting Flies” is a spunky and empowering ode to the shittiest of shitty ex-boyfriends. The clever bad breath-themed hook and witty relationship jabs evoke memories of early 2000’s pop starlet Lily Allen (who we miss very much by the way!) but with a beat that feels entirely next-level and refreshing.

Today we have “A Tattered Line of String”, the first new (to us) track from The Postal Service in about a decade. It’s an apparent leftover from the Give Up sessions and heavily features Rilo Kiley lead singer Jenny Lewis on backup vocals. It’s a pretty energetic, dancy track that might not have been what every fan was looking for but still serves as a successful, nostalgic exercise. For anyone who spent their teen years blasting Give Up at full volume while thinking about that special someone, hearing anything new from peak-era Ben Gibbard should be more than enough.
