Hey beautiful listeners! As the Spring semester comes to a close this year, WUOG will be going off-air to give student-DJs a little end of the year study break. We’ll also be doing some station repairs, so that we can have even better equipment to have even better programming!

With that WUOG will be in Break Radio from April 29 til June 3, and regular summer programming will return June 4. In the meantime, you can look forward hearing Live in the Lobby tomorrow with the Sugar Dicks, the dedicated Players Picnic every Saturday from 2-4pm and a 24-hour LIVE MUSIC extravaganza starting at 12pm on May 11 thru 12pm May 12. Please come down to the station and jam with Mister Senor Love Daddy and DJ Triple XXX ‘thas three x’s yall.’

DJs will come in to deejay off and on, so be sure to tune in every now and then to catch a snippet of music, talk, sports, whatever!

If you’re really desperate, you can always listen to old shows posted by DJs, talk show hosts, and sports staffers. Here’s a full list of specialty shows and podcasts of talk and sports shows.

WUOG welcomes our parents this weekend! The moms and dads and official guardians of all our DJs will be guest-djing all weekend, so our regular weekend programming will be temporarily interrupted. This super special family-friendly event starts tonight at 6pm and will not stop till sunday night at midnight.

Want to join the magical world of deejays? Sign up for a WUOG Community DJ shift for Spring 2010! The show is two sweet hours every Saturday evening from 10pm-12am, lots of callers, lots of fun. Break radio for fall break will begin this Thursday night (today..?) at midnight and continue until Sunday night at midnight.  Friday will be a furlough day, however, meaning Tate will be completely closed and no one will be able to enter the station from Thursday at midnight until Friday at midnight.

School is so cool that we’re throwing a dance because of it!  Head on out to Go Bar around 9 pm to see performances by Casper and the Cookies, Deaf Judges, and DJ Immuzikation. Come catch up with your friends you haven’t seen all summer and meet some new faces from around town!  This night will also be Go Bar’s 10th Anniversary.. even more reason to party!
