WUOG’s transmitter problems have been resolved and 90.5fm is once more operating at its full power of 26,000 watts. So whether in Athens or the surrounding counties, you can listen to WUOG’s programming once more on your FM dial.

Previous transmitter issues had kept the station at low period for about two weeks.

We’re be broadcasting all night long to raise money for the American Cancer Society. At the end of our 12-hour broadcast, we’ll be announcing how much money our DJs and listeners were able to raise in the fight against cancer. We need your help! Click Here to donate! No donation is too small!

BlackBerry, Windows Mobile and Java Application

Our friends at RadioBee.com have created a customized WUOG application for BlackBerrys, Windows Mobile and Java-based devices where you can listen to live programming 24/7/365  no matter where you are. Just plug in a pair of headsphones and hit play! Now you can listen to WUOG from anywhere in the world!

Here’s how to download:

  1. From your BlackBerry device, go to http://m.radiobee.com/promo
  2. Scroll down and select the BlackBerry edition
  3. Download and install the application
  4. Upon completion of the download, open the new application (you may need to restart your device before launching your new app)
  5. You will be prompted for a registration code. Enter “123497
  6. Once the application loads, if it does not autoplay, press the key with the BlackBerry logo on it. This will pop up the menu and select “Start the Player.

Haiti Telethon: “Hope for Haiti” Airs Tonight on 90.5 fm

ATHENS, Ga (WUOG) – WUOG 90.5 fm will join broadcast stations worldwide this evening by broadcasting “Hope for Haiti Now: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief” from 8 pm – 10 pm et. Some of the biggest names in film, television and music will be working the phones and taking donations from Long Angeles during tonight’s broadcast.

WUOG will offer split programming tonight. While radio listeners on 90.5 fm will hear the “Hope for Haiti Now” marathon, listeners online will hear the Half Time Hip Hop Show starting at 9 pm.

ATHENS, Ga (WUOG) – Join the WUOG news staff today at 3:30 p.m. for live coverage of University of Georgia President Micheal F. Adam’s State of the University speech.

President Adam’s will be giving his 45-minute address from the University Chapel and WUOG will carry live audio on 90.5 fm and wuog.org.
