SONG OF THE DAY: Vox Mod (feat. Palaceer Lazaro of Shabazz Palaces) – “Iridescent Asteroid Mists”
Today we have “Iridescent Asteroid Mists”, a track from Seattle-based producer Vox Mod featuring a turn from Shabazz Palaces frontman Palaceer Lazaro (Ishmael Butler). The beat starts off sounding like something you would see little girls skipping hopscotch to, clinking along with slightly menacing drums before it bursts alive into a big, spacey electronic journey. It’s been awhile since we’ve had any notable Shabazz Palaces material and Palaceer comes in over this beat with heavy energy and some sinister malice, moreso then we’ve heard from him in a long time.
