The Athens community is still in shock about the proposed budget cuts. On the chopping block are some of our town’s most esteemed institutions, including our sister station WUGA.

WUGA provides the community with music, news and arts. WUOG and WUGA  both serve common goals by providing Athens with an alternative to mainstream radio.

In the coming days WUOG will reach out to WUGA to understand how to best support this great station. In the meantime, please join their facebook fan page, donate money and write your legislature.
