WUOG may be off air until January 12th, but we’re still online! We’re looking out for you this holiday season, trying to give you enough WUOG to hold you over until we’re back on the air.
First, we had over 300 people trying to listen to Mike Mills DJ online last week. We’ve got the audio online now for anyone who missed it. Because of copyright issues, we can’t let you download it, but it’s not going anywhere. Also available is our “last day” on air.
Wuog.org is already a great college radio webpage, but it’s getting even better. Starting today, you will start seeing posts from many more staffers. It’s all starting with the all new Digital Media Woolog. Here’s a video Andrew found and posted on wuog.org/digital.

Hi everyone,
Mike Mills is in the station right now playing some of his favorite records. If you’re trying to listen online, you may have trouble because we have exceeded the number of people who can listen at one time. This is the first time this has happened!
We’ll be making sure the recording is made available online for anyone who has missed it.
There has been some concern that WUOG has gone off air for good. This is not true.
WUOG 90.5fm is moving to a new location in Tate Student Center. We will have new offices and hope to resume regular broadcasting again on January 8th, 2009.
The station is moving away from our home of 36 years at the top of Memorial Hall. Our “last day” on air was Wednesday, December 10th, 2009.
We hope to provide you with the audio of our last hours in memorial soon. Also, between now and when we continue broadcasting there will be a couple interviews. We will make sure to get these online for anyone who misses them.

Hometown hero, Mike Mills of the famous R.E.M. will be spinning some vinyl and talking about the strong relationship between early R.E.M. and WUOG.
WUOG is famous for being the first radio station to broadcast the band. Like many great Athens bands, R.E.M. has played live in our lobby.
