Our Last Days in Memorial Hall
Since we are moving to our new station in Tate this Winter Break, we want to celebrate our last hour on-air in Memorial Hall. We will do this on Wednesday, December 10th. All day, our current DJs will be DJing, then from 10PM-Midnight, we are inviting all alumni, community members, or bands, who have fond memories of Memorial Hall and would like to say goodbye to come up and say a final farewell. There will be food, companionship and many tears!
In other, related news, to try and preserve a piece of the old station in the new, we want to ask all of you to contribute to a book entitled “Letters from the 5th Floor.” We want all WUOG staff, alumni, and fans to write up an anecdote, favorite memory, share a picture, or a favorite playlist, anything that you remember and want to have memorialized in the new station. There is not a set date for when we will stop taking these letters, the process will stop some time into next semester, but when we finish we will bound all the letters into a book that will be in the new station!
