Guess what, guys?! WUOG turned 36 this year!! On October 16th, to be exact. So we’re having our annual birthday bash on October 29th. This year, the Birth-O-Ween will be held at Little Kings Shuffle Club. It starts at 9pm and features music from Athens’ own Pride Parade, Desert Cult Ritual (members of Chrissakes and The Complete Adventurer), and DJ Immuzikation. And it’s all TOTALLY FREE and open to the public!

I’m pleased to announce you can now listen to WUOG live via iTunes and Winamp.
This means that you can now listen to your favorite specialty shows, talk, and DJs from almost any computer with an internet connection.
Over the next couple of weeks, this live streaming will be greatly expanded. The link on the site is still the old stream, which will continue to work for the next month or so. Want to listen to the new stream?
Windows Media Player will also play our new stream, however, it needs a little help. Jim Galloway has developed a tool to play “.pls” files in Windows Media player. It’s a small, easy to install download called OpenPLSinWMP.

WUOG staffers helped clean the Oconee river at the annual Rivers Alive waterway cleanup.
We had a lot of fun picking up trash, eating granola with yogurt, and listening to Celtic, Renaissance fair style music.
