What is the WUOG Alumni Association?
The mission of the WUOG Alumni Association is to create a culture of engagement among former station volunteers. Serving as a booster organization to existing station initiatives, the organization is dedicated to supplying the current student volunteers with a wide resource pool and an active alumni population.
Things that the association does: provides a support network for WUOG operations, helps organize annual multi-city meet-ups for WUOG Alumni, helps to reconnect alumni with each other, helps the current station staff get advice and training from alums, etc. Read more about what we’ve been up to by visiting the News blog or checking out our previous annual report. Support WUOG!
Donating to WUOG ensures that future UGA students will have access to the same opportunities and experiences that made your time at The University of Georgia so memorable. Donations are also used to fund WUOG alumni-related events and functions that are part of the WUOG Alumni Association. Alumni donations are used are used to enhance emergency savings and to fund station improvements not allocated for by the allotment from the student activities commission. WUOG Alumni who enroll in the “Sustaining Member” plan (donation of $50+ every year) will have their names prominently featured on a plaque mounted in the Station Lobby alongside the names of their fellow supporters Ð cementing your legendary status amongst fellow WUOGgers. All contributors will receive special recognition on wuog.org as well as in each issue of Airwaves and at WUOG Alumni Events and Reunions, unless you inform us to keep your donation anonymous.
How to make a tax-deductible donation to the WUOG Alumni Association:
Make an online donation through the UGA Arch Foundation by following these steps:
- Go to this website: https://www.externalaffairs.uga.edu/os/makegift
- Under “Select Unit” drop down menu, select “Division of Student Affairs”
- Under “Select Department” drop down menu, select “Student Activities”
- Under “Select Account” drop down menu, select “WUOG Operation/Expense”
- Follow directions from there
Enroll in a contribution plan online.
Enter “WUOG” in the “other” field.
Enroll in a contribution plan by mail. You can make checks payable to the Arch Foundation.
