Listserv
We have recently established to an 'Alumni Listserv' in order to allow current station members to better stay in touch with WUOG Alumni. It will enable us to keep you abreast of station events like Alumni Weekend and Reunion Banquets which may be of interest to you.
The listserv membership was generated from a list of the Alumni in attendance at the 30th Anniversary Banquet and is in no way comprehensive, we need your help to recruit other Alumni to stay in contact with! If you know of anyone who would like to be added to this list please or is a lost alumni please direct them to this page.
Thanks for your help! Stay in touch!
Newsletter
'Airwaves' is our semi-annual publication targeted at Alumni and Staff to keep them up to date with WUOG nonsense.
Financial Support
The University of Georgia has a rich tradition of Alumni Giving. For too long WUOG has underestimated the support of its Alumni members. Inspired by several recent and unsolicited donations we have developed a more formal contribution plan for those who wish the support their alma matter's collegiate radio program.
Alumni donations are used are used to enhance emergency savings and to fund station improvements not allocated for by our allotment from the student activities commission. Donating to WUOG ensures that future UGA students will have access to the same opportunities and experiences that made your time at The University of Georgia so memorable.
You can mail donations to the station to the station's address in Tate (153 Tate Center, Athens, GA 30602) enclosed with a note, or use the donation form usually printed in Airwaves. The money is deposited into the WUOG account in development and is held there in case of emergencey (i.e. transmitter blowing, etc.) . The donation is tax deductible and is earmarked specifically for WUOG.
Sustaining Members
WUOG Alumni who enroll in the "Sustaining Member" plan will have their names prominently featured on a plaque mounted in the Station Lobby alongside the names of their fellow supporters. Contributors will receive special recognition in each issue of Airwaves as well as at WUOG Alumni Events and Reunions. This program was established in June 2003 and is in its initial growth stages.
For a minimal tax-deductible donation of $50 per year you can become a "Sustaining Member" of WUOG 90.5FM. That's about $4 a month. Please print out the form below or utilize our secure online payment system to enroll in this program and show your support for college radio.
Enroll in a contribution plan by mail. You can make checks payable to the Arch Foundation.
